NOTES
1. NI Civil Service Sports Association (NICSSA) In addition to paying the appropriate
NI Civil Service Lawn Tennis Club subscription, all members, except Juniors, must
join the NI Civil Service Sports Association (NICSSA). This is a separate transaction
from that for the Tennis Club. The names of all members of the Tennis Club are forwarded
to NICSSA for confirmation that the relevant NICSSA membership requirements have
been met.
Payment of the appropriate NICSSA membership fees covers essential areas such as
insurance, ground maintenance, etc, with all NICSSA members receiving a Pavilion
card as proof of membership. NICSSA membership forms are available from: NI Civil

NB: Only when NICSSA have confirmed that you have met the relevant membership requirements
will you be deemed to be a member of the Tennis Club. Any Tennis Club member not
renewing their NICCSA membership on time is immediately suspended from the Tennis
Club and will be subject to appropriate sanctions.
2. Club Rules (extract)
The NI Civil Service Lawn Tennis Club adheres to Child Protection requirements,
the guidelines for which are posted in the Clubhouse & on this website. For safety,
under-16s should be supervised at all times by a parent, brother/sister or guardian
who is over 16 years old. Juniors may not use the floodlights without Adult members
present.
The Clubhouse and tennis courts must be treated with care, with nets adjusted
to the correct height (measuring sticks are on site) and
- Nets must belowered after play. (the net posts can be damaged if over wound or left
in tension)
- Courts and Club House must be locked after play unless a known member of the Club
is in attendance.
- All litter must be removed.
- No glass or crockery may be brought onto the courts.
Court Usage:- during daylight Courts 3 & 4 must be used first at all times (this
is to ensure even turf wear)
Appropriate tennis clothing and footwear must be worn at all times.
Conduct and behaviour on (and in the vicinity of) the tennis courts is covered
at all times by Tennis Ireland rules, which are posted in the Clubhouse.
Tennis balls for Club play will be issued on request to the Captain(s) or Match
Secretary.
Club Sessions:- all players must mix in and not play singles at any time when members
or guests are waiting.
A non-member can play with a Club member for a £5.00 fee per visit. Maximum visits
six. No previous year lapsed members can play without Committee authorization. Guests
must be signed in by the Member in the Guest book in the Tennis Clubhouse and fees
forwarded to the Joint Treasurers or a Committee member.
The Club reserves the right to act on any infringement of these rules.
